  • A group of South American artists in New York have started a new YouTube channel for live electronic performances. Based in Brooklyn, Down There is a video series and community of artists who live in its Bushwick headquarters. While it's currently focused on electronic music, the organisers also plan to use the space to showcase a range of musical performances from artists around the globe. The platform currently features the likes of gbd, Unsighted and DEMEN-TEK. "Down There exists as a space in which artists can have the ability to express themselves and create," founder Andres Garcia (AKA Atahualpa) told Resident Advisor. "Artists have a lot to offer the greater community and we give them the opportunity to make and catalogue audiovisual performances. The artists can use the recordings to reach more people."
