  • Crumar confirms it's remaking the Spirit synth image
  • Italian synth company Crumar has confirmed rumours that it's rereleasing its most famous synth. The Crumar Spirit, a monosyth designed by Bob Moog and originally released in 1983, has gone back into production. Only 100 will be made—around the same number that were produced of the original synth. The news was confirmed Saturday, July 29th, with orders opening through a dedicated website. The remake will be entirely faithful to the original synth, except for an optional MIDI port and a modern keybed. Part of the proceeds from the sales with go to the Marche Synth Museum, a small association that collects and restores obscure synths made in the Marche region of Italy in the '60s, '70s and '80s. The rerelease of the Crumar Spirit was spearheaded and facilitated by the museum's experts. Watch an overview of the new synth.
