- The legendary New York DJ says he is responding well to treatment.
New York house pioneer Danny Tenaglia is receiving treatment for cancer.
He uploaded a video to his Instagram account yesterday, July 21st, to explain the news. Tenaglia says it was caught during a routine colonoscopy in May.
In recent months, he's cancelled several overseas DJ gigs, including shows in Italy, Australia and Ibiza. In the video he says this is because he's been receiving daily radiation treatment but that it's going well, he feels "great" and believes they caught it in time.
His Instagram post adds: "I PRAY this will help people realize how important it is to get a colonoscopy after 50 and then every 5 years. Prevention is everything."
