    TAAHLIAH - orthogenesis

    Label: Self-released Release date: June 16th, 2023 Last Friday, Glasgow DJ and producer TAAHLIAH quietly released a 30-track edit and remix compilation, which features reworks of everyone from Kelela and Evita Manji to Megan Thee Stallion and Kim Petras.

    VA - Disruptive Frequencies

    Label: Nonclassical Release date: July 13th, 2023 A tireless champion of leftfield classical music, London label Nonclassical has put out a new compilation in response to the "distinct lack of visibility for Black and Brown artists within the field of experimental music & sound." Compiled by sound artist and researcher Amit Dinesh Patel, AKA Dushume, Disruptive Frequencies features music from six Black and South Asian producers. There's also a launch party at London's Kings Place on July 15th.

    Suzanne Ciani & Jonathan Fitoussi - Golden Apples Of The Sun

    Label: Transversales Disques Release date: September 6th, 2023 Synth queen Suzanne Ciani has a new album on the way. She's collaborated with French composer Jonathan Fitoussi on a project that blends synths with sounds taken from nature.

    Label: Self-released Release date: June 20th, 2023 Actress's self-released new single is a riff on the Bronski Beat classic "Smalltown Boy."

    LYZZA - MK Ultrasound

    Label: Self-released Release date: June 20th, 2023 The latest single from Brazilian producer and vocalist LYZZA is the soundtrack to Third World: The Bottom Dimension, a video game and interactive art exhibition from visual artist Gabriel Massan. It's currently on display at London's Serpentine Galleries.

    Carmen Villain - Music From The Living Monument

    Label: Smalltown Supersound Release date: June 23rd, 2023 Carmen Villain—who recently sat down for our Art of Production series—is back with a hypnotic score composed for the Norwegian National Company of Contemporary Dance.

    Simone De Kunovich - Flow My Tears

    Label: Public Possession Release date: June 23rd, 2023 Italian digger Simone de Kunovich returns to Public Possession with a bouncy club track propelled by a 303 bassline. An EP of the same name is slated for a September release, too.

    Henzo - The Prowl

    Label: YCO Release date: July 14th, 2023 Henzo lands on YCO, the label run by fellow Manchester-based artists BFTT and aya, with a three-track EP packing seriously wonky bangers.

    Almaazz - Sot Wa Sada

    Label: Precious Metals Release date: July 20th, 2023 Due out on Endgame's Precious Metals label, the debut EP from Egyptian-Canadian artist Almaazz is an incendiary combination of Arabic songwriting, experimental sound design and contemporary club rhythms.

    Aphex Twin - Blackbox Life Recorder 21f / in a room7 F760

    Label: Warp Records Release date: July 28th, 2023 The biggest music announcement of the past week was Aphex Twin's first EP in five years. True to form, he teased it via an augmented reality programme linked to recent performances.
