  • A new book about Aphex Twin has been released. Entitled Aphex Twin: Every Album, Every Song, it systematically goes through each piece of music recorded by Richard D. James under the alias, including his six studio albums plus EPs on R&S, Warp, Rephlex and other labels. The book also includes releases put out under the names Caustic Window, Polygon Window, Bradley Strider and others. Some material that never received a proper release, such as Melodies from Mars and Aphex Twin's track dumps on SoundCloud, are skipped, though the book does cover the Caustic Window LP, since that was given a limited digital release. At only 17 years old, the author, Beau Waddell, wasn't alive when most of James's music was released. That aside, he carefully works through each track, recording catalogue numbers, times and dates, and production information, as well as many of the myths that surround the reclusive artist. The book is part of the On Track series, which also delves into the back catalogues of other artists like Pink Floyd, Radiohead, The Human League and New Order. Sonicbond Publishing actively recruits music fans from all backgrounds who want to add to the On Track series, and has an open invitation on its website for aspiring writers to get in touch and suggest new books.
