- People of Eternity: BDS Mixtape vol. 1 includes tracks from Gavilán Rayna Russom, Speaker Music and Maria Chavez.
A new record label has announced a VA compilation in support of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.
Out on April 7th, People of Eternity: BDS Mixtape vol. 1 is the first release on Amplify Palestine, the label wing of a larger campaign of the same name. Funds raised from the release will go towards Adalah-NY, a group advocating for justice, equality and human rights for the Palestinian people through educational activities and campaign building.
Curated by Gavilán Rayna Russom and Sanna Almajedi, the mixtape is made up of music from artists who support the Palestinian call for the cultural boycott of Israel, including Russom, Speaker Music, Maria Chavez, Dynoman and King Vision Ultra. It's dedicated to the late musician Jaimie Branch, who features posthumously on the project as part of duo Anteloper.
