Scotch Rolex (AKA DJ Scotch Egg) and Shackleton are releasing a collaborative album.
Out on March 31st, Death By Tickling is the debut release on new label Silver Triplet. Spanning ten tracks, the LP combines Scotch Rolex's surrealist punk ethos with Shackleton's bass-heavy psychedelia. It was written in their shared Berlin studio.
Death By Tickling is Shackleton's first release since 2022 EP The Majestic Yes, which included a collaboration with Mark Ernestus. The UK artist's last album was Departing Like Rivers—his first in nine years.
Japanese artist Scotch Rolex—whose name is inspired by a popular Ugandan street food—has released regularly on Nyege Nyege Tapes sub-label Hakuna Kulala in recent years, and will feature on MC Yallah's forthcoming album, Yallah Beibe, out on April 14th.
