El-B & Burial's forgotten collaboration "Prophecy" has been given a surprise digital release 13 years after it was made.
The track appeared on El-B's Bandcamp page earlier today, January 25th, with the caption: "Made In 2009. Straight From Nu Levels." The latter is a reference to a dubstep, grime and UK garage compilation from 2010 that also featured the likes of Zed Bias, Chimpo and Jammer.
Burial's first release of 2023, "Prophecy" follows the Streetlands EP in October. Last year, El-B dropped triple-single The City Never Sleeps / Bizzy 4 Lizzy / Midnight and remixed tracks by Aurora Dee Raynes and Beat Merchants.
