  • Two men have been charged with the murder of 23-year-old Cody Fisher at Birmingham nightclub Crane on Boxing Day. Kami Carpenter, 21, and Remy Gordon, 22, will stand trial in July following the attack, which took place just before midnight and left Fisher with fatal stab wounds. The party was headlined by Italian tech house giant Marco Carola. On Friday, December 30th, Birmingham City Council decided to suspend Crane's license for 28 days following an application by West Midlands Police. A full license review hearing will take place later this month. The Digbeth venue was opened in 2017 by the team behind The Rainbow Venues. Tributes have been pouring in for Fisher, who was a non-league footballer and school sports coach. Flowers and football shirts have been left outside Crane, and Birmingham City F.C. held a minute's silence in their game against Hull City on December 30th. We'll report more on this story as it unfolds.
