  • New York club BASEMENT has announced its first-ever residents. Already regular performers, Beatrice, Newa and LYDO embody BASEMENT's core values, the club said. They're also responsible for the first three mixes in the club's new series. "The first time I entered BASEMENT, it felt like home," said Newa. "Everything was perfect for me. I try to choose very special tracks to play here because there are not many clubs where I feel at home. The intimacy of BASEMENT is unique." Beatrice agreed. "They really want to bring the sound and the proper vibe. That really was one of the best feelings that I had. It really pushed me out. It showed me again what is the reason I'm doing all this." LYDO, one of BASEMENT's most regular performers, described it as "extremely supportive." They added: "It feels incredible to work with a club that truly respects your vision and treats you with respect. I've played every slot at BASEMENT and each one has been different, but I still stay true to my sound." The residencies will start in 2023, with Beatrice, Newa and LYDO performing regularly throughout the year. Listen to their mixes.
