If you've ever run a party in an unannounced location–and needed to communicate the venue details to ticket buyers on the day–you'll know this process well.
Close sales early, download a customer data CSV from RA Pro, import into email client, design email, write copy, craft subject, send. And they end up in spam.
Secret Location Announcements
Our latest tool, Secret Location Announcements, enables you to email venue details to your ticket buyers directly from RA Pro.
You can schedule this email to send either at a specific date and time, or immediately after a customer buys a ticket. These emails are fully automated and take just a few clicks to set up.

You don't need to worry about domain reputation
The email will be sent from Resident Advisor ([email protected]), making it far less likely that the email will end up in spam. As of December 2022, the open rate for these is 83 percent.
You don't need to craft a snappy subject or fancy design
We'll provide these for you. All you need to do is write the body of the email.
"This tool has been in the works for a while," said RA's product manager, Lawrence Tatham. "Many promoters in the US–particularly on the West Coast where licensing regulations are notoriously strict–don't disclose venue locations until the day of the event. Developing Secret Location Announcements was therefore key to protecting the vitality of this scene.
It's the first tool we've ever built specifically for promoters in the US. They input heavily into the development cycle of this product and their feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We've also seen significant uptake from our European promoters, which illustrates the global appeal of this feature.
Secret Location Announcements is also one of the first tools to use Iterable, a cross-channel marketing automation platform that we recently acquired in order to deliver automated messaging at scale.
This is only the first release too.
We'll be iterating on the tool over the coming months to improve usability and maximise message visibility."
According to Los Angeles promoter CAST OFF, "Secret Location Announcements has been great. We were able to keep online tickets on sale until much later on in the night and we saw a 30-40 percent increase in sales as a result. This made the entry operation much more manageable and meant we were able to get punters inside the venue a lot faster than usual. Massive kudos to everyone who worked on this feature!"
If you'd like to use Secret Location Announcements for an event you've already made live, you can simply submit an update with it enabled and all ticket buyers will receive an email.
If you're submitting a new event, simply select "Venue TBA" in the venue section and tick the "announce venue details to ticket holders via email" box.
