  • A new multi-purpose venue is opening in Milan. Spanning a club and events space, restaurant and speakeasy, Maka Loft will open in January in the Zona Farini neighbourhood. It's part of the Lampo Farini urban development project and will be run by the team behind Polifonic Festival and Puglia beach club Cala Maka. News of Maka Loft landed via Instagram yesterday, November 18th. Marco Sala, founder of Polifonic and Cala Maka, insisted the space will host "top-level clubbing nights." He added: "Maka Loft lands in Milan with a fine Asian culinary experience and a speakeasy that brings the soul of Cala Maka into a more urban context. Faithful to Maka identity, there's also an eclectic event space ranging from private and corporate events to art exhibitions." The new venue follows Polifonic's debut Milan edition in June at Parco Esposizioni Novegro. Its original sister festival takes place annually in the Itria Valley in Southern Italy. Cala Maka also sits in Puglia. The idyllic beach spot regularly hosts dance music events during the summer. Check out Sala's post.
