  • Karachi label Cape Monze Records has curated a VA compilation to raise funds for the flood relief effort in Pakistan. Titled Momentum, the 19-track LP includes contributions from Psytox, Rudoh, Ctrls, Measure Divide, TMPST, Gebrüder Teichmann, False Persona and Dynoman. The tracks range from electro, broken beat and techno to downtempo and dubstep. Out now, Momentum comes as Pakistan continues to recover from a spate of deadly floods caused by heavy monsoon rains and melting glaciers. More than 1700 people have died and another 33 million have been affected. 80 percent of the nation's crops have been destroyed, as winter and food shortages loom. Cape Monze Records will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the compilation to organisations working on the ground providing medical care, shelter and participating in the ongoing rebuilding process in flood-hit areas. These include Mama Baby Fund, Legal Aid Society, Edhi Foundation and ChildLife Foundation. Listen to Momentum.
