UK festival Field Maneuvers launches crowdfunder to secure future

- UK festival Field Maneuvers has launched a crowdfunder to secure its future. Hoping to raise £40,000 in four weeks, the team is still reeling from the Covid-19 pandemic, which led to increased overheads, a new site and the cost-of-living crisis. Despite selling out its recent eighth edition, the festival experienced a 30 percent drop-off in attendance (1000 out of 1500), which meant less money spent onsite. "For FM to survive we really do need your help," the team wrote. "We know times are tough and if you can't afford it, please don't even think about donating, but if you can chip in to this Save FM Crowdfunder, you'd make some exhausted and genuinely worried people very happy indeed." In return, Field Maneuvers is offering various tiers of rewards starting at £20, from limited-edition merch and fruit machine tutorials to a VIP party in the festival's onsite pub, The Pack It Inn, in 2023.
