- The soundtrack arrives on October 14th, the same day as the show's release.
Ryuichi Sakamoto has scored an upcoming anime series, Exception.
Written by Hirotaka Adachi and directed by Yuzo Sato, the sci-fi show arrives via Netflix on October 14th. On that same day, Sakamoto's soundtrack will be released on his own label, Milan Records. Two songs off the album, "Oxygen" and "Exception," are now available digitally.
"I wanted to make the main theme a symphonic piece—the kind that has become a staple in science fiction since Star Wars," Sakamoto said in a statement. "As for the soundtrack as a whole, I worked towards keeping it darkly ambient, wanting it to feel like one piece of music rather than separated by scene."
