  • Baltimore-based sitarist and singer Ami Dang is releasing her first album since 2019. Arriving November 4th via Los Angeles label Leaving Records and Brighton label Phantom Limb, The Living World's Demands combines Indian classical music with synth pop and ambient. Across nine tracks, Dang fuses sitar compositions with Indian percussion and vocals in both English and Punjabi. The album follows 2019's Parted Plains LP on Leaving Records and her 2020 collaborative release Galdre Visions with Green-House, Diva Dompé and Nailah Hunter. Dang has also collaborated with Animal Collective and performed alongside artists like Grimes and Beach House. Listen to "Sensations."
