Colleen "Cosmo" Murphy has curated a Balearic compilation for Heavenly Recordings.
Based on the music Murphy presents on her weekly Worldwide.fm radio show, Balearic Breakfast Volume 1 spans 11 tracks, featuring Balearic musician Joan Bibiloni, German duo Fragile, a remix from Murphy herself, an Andrew Weatherall and Tim Fairplay production (as The Asphodells) and a remix from the late Phil Asher. It will be out on vinyl and digitally this June 10th.
On the following Friday, June 17th, there will be a launch party at The Social in London, with all ticket proceeds going to Disasters Emergency Committee's Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
In an Instagram post, Murphy said the compilation "features 11 songs that I have chosen from the show, most of which are difficult or somewhat pricey to snag on vinyl. Some are classics, some are contemporary, some are for spacing out and others are for dancing."
Aside from her long-running work as a radio host and DJ, Murphy is known as a close collaborator of David Mancuso and as the founder of Classic Album Sundays.
