  • A new online archive is paying homage to the golden era of Belgian nightlife. Created by Charlotte de Witte's KNTXT label in collaboration with merchandising agency Andrea, Époque will focus on key clubs and venues in the '80s and '90s, featuring revolving collections of stories, flyers, photos and other mementos. In curating the archive, Époque's research team—led by curator Michiel Claus (Walrus/Basic Moves)—worked closely with the institutions involved. For the first installment, Claus chose Lokeren-based club Cherry Moon. "This part of our music history is too-little regarded as Belgian heritage," Claus said. The archive will also include limited drops of club wear and curated playlists that draw on the aesthetics of the featured club or label. For this launch, Époque tapped Belgian designer Otis Verhoeve. The archive goes live on June 1st.
