  • Lady Of The House has launched a record label. Yesterday, May 26th, at Brighton Music Conference, Lady Of The House confirmed the label A&Rs as BBC Radio 1's Jaguar and Charlie Tee, Defected artist Sam Divine and singer Becky Hill. The label will launch with a month-long production competition for women and non-binary artists. The four winning submissions will be released on the label and receive mentoring and support from the Lady Of The House team. Winners will also get their music remixed by a more established artist, as well as having the chance to play shows representing Lady Of The House later in the year. "I love everything that Lady Of The House stands for," Jaguar said. "There's still a huge disparity in female and non-binary producers and this type of label is exactly how we will level the playing field." The competition opens today, May 27th, and will close on June 30th. Submit your demo via this form. Spearheaded by Laila Mckenzie, Lady Of The House published the first book celebrating women in dance music. In March, they also hosted a four-day cultural exhibition to coincide with International Women's Day. Listen to our RA Exchange with Mckenzie.
