  • San Francisco's Fault Radio is looking to open a brick-and-mortar location after four years of online operations. The station is currently crowdfunding to raise $20,000 for a location at the edge of the city's Chinatown and Financial District. This amount will cover renovation costs, permits, supplies, equipment, security and operational fees. "We've never asked for money on this scale before, and while it feels somewhat uncomfortable, we believe passionately in the ever-evolving platform of Fault Radio and that this new space will allow us to actualize our full potential," the team said in a statement. In addition to radio programming, Fault Radio will host workshops, talks and pop-ups. It also intends to offer studio hours with access to the station's gear. The team hopes the new location will be open by May this year. Check the fundraiser for more information.
