- Using a salvaged modular system, he will perform live on April 2nd at 5 PM GMT.
Composer and sound artist Oleg Shpudeiko, AKA Heinali, is hosting a livestream fundraiser from a bomb shelter in Lviv, a city in western Ukraine.
Taking place on April 2nd at 5 PM GMT (7 PM local time), the short performance will feature a modular system that Shpudeiko managed to salvage. According to a press release, the patch is "loosely based on the seventh-century polyphonic organa of the Notre Dame school and earlier medieval polyphony."
The patch also forms the basis of Shpudeiko's new album, Organa, which remains unfinished due to the ongoing conflict. As well as his own music, he composes for films, video games, ballet and more. His work has featured at Kyiv's National Art Museum of Ukraine and The Museum of Modern Art of Odessa.
All proceeds raised from Saturday's show will be split between the Ukrainian army and official humanitarian aid channels.
