Asia Wride, daughter of the late MC Skibadee, is raising funds to support their family.
"My dad, MC Skibadee, passed away on February 27th 2022," wrote Wride on the GoFundMe page. "As his firstborn it has fallen to me to help our family with the unexpected loss of my dad. If you can help to take the pressure off during this time it would be much appreciated."
Skibadee, real name Alphonso Bondzie, pioneered the art of MCing in UK dance music, breaking through in 1993 and working at the top of the jungle and drum & bass game right up until his death. He inspired countless MCs across multiple genres and was a beloved, larger-than-life character in the scene.
