Athens-based artist Jay Glass Dubs has introduced a new alias for his latest project, out in March via Milan's Haunter Records.
Made under the name Wild Terrier Orchestra, EVEN THE CHIMERA spans two 20-minute tracks that touch on ambient and drone. Featuring cameos from vocalist Cruel Diagonals and fellow Athens artist Foteini Korre, the mostly improvised album is inspired by the writings of Greek surrealist poet Andreas Embirikos, as well as Papadatos's own research on traditional Greek and Byzantine music.
A resident at Athens' movement.radio, Papadatos is affiliated with experimental labels Bokeh Versions and Ecstatic. Last November, he released Jungle Shuffle, a collaborative 12-inch with Laura Agnusdei.
