Pirate, a global network of recording and rehearsal studios, has unveiled a new grant.
Focusing on community-oriented projects, the company will give three recipients free time at any Pirate facility for a year. The grant, called The Project Fund, is worth £17,000 and only open to the US, UK and Germany.
Eligible projects must be related to a creative field such as music, theatre and dance, and demonstrate a positive impact on others. Examples include livestream series, new record labels and drum lessons. The fund is open to new and ongoing ventures by both individuals and collectives. Applications will be judged on originality, use of studio time and community contribution.
