The first EP comes with videos featuring local dancers and choreographers.
London experimental party inklingroom is launching a label.
Like the events, which have been running since 2020, the inklingroom label will "straddle the divide between experimental club music and contemporary dance." Certain tracks will come with videos featuring local dancers and choreographers.
The first release, a six-track EP by Athens-born sound artist Jeph Vanger, is called Cyclothymia. Three tracks—"Fatale," "Give Up" and "Requiem For Clouds"—come with videos, featuring Lesya Tyminska, Alex Miklosy and inklingroom cofounder Keity Pook, plus video artist and animator Maria Piva.
Cyclothymia is now available to stream in full via Bandcamp, with the EP hitting other streaming platforms this Friday, January 7th. The vinyl is out on January 28th.
A launch party for the label, originally scheduled for December 17th, has been moved to April at East London venue Space 289. GAIKA, Silvia Kastel and more will perform.
