Club Night Club, a New York promoter known for leftfield techno and UK bass nights, is starting a new tape series.
The debut edition, Acid In The Sky, features an hour of atmospheric cuts selected by Special Guest DJ. Out today, December 14th, the tape is accompanied by three prints made by the Berlin-based producer, whose last Club Night Club appearance was in September.
In an Instagram post, Club Night Club, which turns three next year, described its intention behind the project. "With so many talented mixes and recordings online, sometimes gold can slip through the cracks... For both of us, tapes have always been a great way of tethering a piece to a physical artifact—giving sounds a degree of permanence."
