  • Jungle and drum & bass legend Ray Keith is releasing a biography about his life and career. The blurb for Dark Soldier, which was penned in collaboration with journalist Dave Jenkins, asks the question: "Do you really know Ray Keith?" The 650-page book tells the story of a life consumed by music, starting with soul, funk and disco, then acid house, before finally discovering, and helping pioneer, his beloved jungle and drum & bass. In addition to heavy input from Keith, Dark Soldier includes interviews with UK legends like Goldie, A Guy Called Gerald, Fabio & Grooverider, LTJ Bukem, Bryan Gee, Jumpin Jack Frost, GQ, London Elektricity, Nicky Blackmarket and Micky Finn. Out in December, Dark Soldier takes its name from one of Keith's many aliases. Listen to his 2001 album, Sinister.
