SKY H1 will release her debut album, Azure, via AD 93 next month.
Spanning nine tracks, the LP came together after being imagined, practiced and developed in a live setting. In recent years, the Brussels artist has toured the world and written music for clubs, concerts, galleries and films. Azure addresses the solitude of life on the road, while the title reminds SKY H1 of her mother, to whom the record is dedicated.
When writing lead single "Elysian Heights," Sky H1 says she "wanted to make something that sounded epic with a break." She adds: "[Something] that reminded me of some of the tracks on drum & bass compilation mix CDs I used to listen to and that would evoke a similar feeling, but without it referencing a similar type of track structure."
Azure is Sky H1's first release since 2016's Motion EP. Watch the video for "Elysian Heights," which was created by LA design studio Actual Objects.
