- Goteo arrives this Friday on Florentino's new label, Club Romantico.
Nearly two years after announcing their production outfit Sangre Nueva, Kelman Duran, Florentino and DJ Python are set to deliver their first release.
Goteo is due this Friday, October 15th, via Club Romantico, a new label from Swing Ting affiliate Florentino. Spanning four tracks, the 12-inch combines reggaeton and dembow with atmospheric electronics.
"The EP came about very naturally, musically speaking," Florentino told Resident Advisor. "There wasn't much discussion in terms of what was happening conceptually and emotionally on each track, nor was it needed."
First announced in January 2020, Sangre Nueva were meant to make their stage debut at Primavera Sound this year before the festival was forced to cancel.
The group was formed as a "concerted effort of all three of us to build something bigger and better, together," Florentino added. "We'd been friends and admirers of what each of us do for some time, so when the idea of performing together presented itself, it was a no-brainer to create music together too."

Club Romantico was born as a club night before growing to a radio show and now, a label. It aims to "push alternative and forward-thinking Latin club sounds and its sonic siblings, while fostering an inclusive and incubative space to house many variants of Latin music," Florentino explained on social media.
