The first release, out next month, features tracks from the original Androgyne members.
Nantes collective Androgyne, residents at local club Macadam, have launched a label called Garde-Robe Records.
While Macadam was closed during the pandemic, Androgyne (AKA Youl, Combe, Moksha, GTI and recent addition, Soyoon) thought of ways to "keep the music alive." The result is a label that will explore rave, with nods to ambient and experimental music, too.
The first release, Brumes Sur Le Zoo, is due out on November 15th. The four-track EP features cuts from the original Androgyne members.
Macadam, which reopened in July, has upcoming shows with The Pilotwings, Paula Tape, Sally C and more. Taken over by Androgyne in 2017, the club now welcomes more than 50,000 dancers every year.
Another highlight, scheduled for Sunday, October 31st, is Gloria, a party that Androgyne call "an invitation to shed one's everyday clothes in favour of light and glitter, a generous audience and extended sets." Copenhagen techno artist Peachlyfe and Amoral will play alongside Androgyne residents.
Listen to Youl's "18H08" from Brumes Sur Le Zoo.
