- Out October 1st, the EP features two tracks that have been fixtures in the UK DJ's sets.
Floating Points has announced the second instalment in the Melodies Record Club series.
Ben UFO has curated Melodies Record Club #002, which is out on October 1st via Melodies International. The A-side is "Drums," a track taken from Laurie Spiegel's 1980 album The Expanding Universe. Ben UFO included the track in his first BBC Essential Mix in 2013.
The B-side is "Echoes from Mamori" by Olof Dreijer of The Knife. The track was initially created for an exhibition in 2009 and was, until now, only available on an accompanying CD.
"Here we have two tracks which have been staples in Ben's DJ sets at different times, but neither were originally produced with a club setting in mind, which is why they've never been available in this format before," Floating Points said via Instagram.
Four Tet kicked off the series back in May, with Hunee, Josey Rebelle, Charlie Bones and more still to come.
