  • Belgrade club Drugstore has launched a crowdfunder to support their new project, a "music and art colony" called Polja. Taking place on September 3rd and 4th, the inaugural Polja Festival will be held on the grounds of an estate in the village of Šutci, which sits in the mountains about 90 KM outside of Belgrade. Svetlana Spajić, Bokan Stanković and Miloš Nikolić will perform live at sunset, before André Pahl and Kopri play ambient sets once the sun has gone down. In partnership with fellow Belgrade collective Dis-patch, Polja is part of Drugstore's longer plan to bring cultural content and events back into a part of Serbia that they describe as "almost forgotten." The initiative will promote an education and arts programme in collaboration with the local community. The crowdfunder is raising money for the infrastructure of Polja Festival, as well as the next steps in the programme—converting the attic of the house on the estate into a music studio, and the ground floor into an apartment to facilitate artist residencies. Donate to the Polja crowdfunder here, and watch the accompanying video.
