  • A new documentary about Scotland's rave culture is now available to watch. Scotland The Rave follows best-selling author Graeme Armstrong as he retells the story of his discovery of electronic music. First shown on the BBC on August 24th, it's now available to stream via BBC iPlayer. The documentary explores Scotland's rave culture through interviews with DJs, promoters and ravers. As well as talking tracks, first times and ticket stubs, it also explores drug safety, legislation and wider social narratives within the Scottish electronic music scene. Graeme Armstrong is a Scottish author who grew up on an estate in Airdie, North Lanarkshire. He rose to prominence with his best-selling book, The Young Team, a fictional work based heavily on his own experiences that the Guardian called "a swaggering, incendiary debut."
