- The news was announced by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency.
Nightclubs will be closed in the Netherlands until at least November 1st.
The measures are listed on the Netherlands Enterprise Agency website among updated rules for the hospitality sector. The NL Times reports that the events industry plans to protest the measures with the Unmute Us campaign, which is organising demonstrations around the country on August 21st demanding music events be permitted from September 1st.
In July, 40 Dutch event organisations opened legal proceedings against the government when the last round of restrictions were announced. The measures, which shut festivals and nightclubs until August 14th, were announced less than two weeks after nightlife was allowed to resume.
