- The LP, due out in October, follows the release of her 2019 record, Your Need.
This fall, Moscow-based producer and vocalist Kedr Livanskiy is releasing her third album.
Liminal Soul comprises nine tracks of experimental pop, produced using both electronic and acoustic instrumentation. The forthcoming record, which sees features from fellow Moscow artists Flaty and Synecdoche Montauk, is Livanskiy's third album, and is also the follow-up to her 2019 LP, You Need. 2MR plans to release the album on October 1st.
The album announcement arrives with a short film accompanying the LP's first single, "Stars Light Up," which was shot in one of the oldest church complexes in Moscow. "This place is very personal to me," Livanskiy explains. "I feel the connection of antiquity, with those times when people turned their gaze to the sky in search of answers to their questions, in order to feel some kind of otherworldly energy and strength.
"'Look at the sky' is sung in the song, urging people of our time not to lose contact with heaven—not necessarily in a religious sense, but rather a broader metaphysical one."
