  • fono, a listening bar and live music venue in Malaysia's capital city, has put out a public call for donations. The community-oriented centre, which also hosts workshops, film screenings and other creative events, has been largely closed for over a year due to the pandemic. To pay monthly bills and keep the lights on, fono has launched a donation page on its website. In exchange for a contribution, donors will receive discounts on merchandise and early access to future events. Established in early 2018, fono has invited Awesome Tapes From Africa, Henry Wu, Nabihah Iqbal and Hugo Mendez, among others, to perform in its living room-styled hall.
