  • South Asian creatives will be showcased at a new music and arts festival in London this year. Organised by the collectives Daytimers, Chalo and No ID, Dialled In takes place from August to October. An in-person party is slated to happen at Uplands Business Park on September 11th featuring live performances and DJ sets from Nabihah Iqbal, Yung Singh, Naina, Auntie Flo, R.O.S.H., anu, Chippy Nonstop, DEBONAIR, Manuka Honey and Ahadadream, among others. A series of roundtable discussions on the topics of South Asian community, identity and marginalised spaces will also be held before and after the September event. In addition, the festival includes a mentorship program in which four young South Asian creatives will be paired up with leading industry figures in fields such as journalism, event production and radio. A documentary on the making of Dialled In is also in the works. In a statement, the festival said that it aims to showcase "how South Asian artists have previously been underestimated by a predominantly white-focused creative industry."
