- UK party and label Boxed is closing down. Launched by Logos, Mr. Mitch, Oil Gang and Slackk in 2013, Boxed will sign off with one final party at Corsica Studios on Friday, September 17th. They'll host their "wish list of London talent," with slots for Grandmixxer, Slimzee & Boylan and Mak10. "Over the last few months we have reflected and decided now is the time to draw Boxed to a close, in the midst of our eighth year," reads today's statement on social media. The announcement comes after Mr. Mitch shared on his own socials last month that he'd be parting ways with Boxed, saying he feels his personal taste no longer aligns with what the brand represents. Boxed is also a label. Launched in December 2015, it put out music by Proc Fiskal, Murlo, Spooky and many more. The final release, The Last Boxed, is a 20-track compilation, out now.
