- A new superclub is set to open in Newcastle this summer. The Lofts is scheduled to open on August 27th, with sets from Pete Tong, Horse Meat Disco and more. Spread across four rooms, the 1,500-capacity venue boasts state-of-the-art lights, visuals and an L-Acoustic soundsystem. Sitting on Newcastle's historic Newgate Street, The Lofts is the brainchild of directors Rob Seaman, John Dance and Marty Smith. The trio bring decades of international and local nightlife experience to the project. "Our aim is to build on the excellent reputation Newcastle already has and raise its profile still further," said Seaman. "We will have something to offer everyone at The Lofts and look forward to welcoming music fans not just from the local area but from throughout the UK." Watch a teaser clip on Instagram.
