  • A climate change-themed event featuring installations from electronic music artists is happening in Brooklyn this fall. Connecting music, art installations and climate experts, Undercurrent kicks off this fall, with the first edition devoted to the climate crisis. The multi-week event features installations from artists like Jayda G, Actress, Khruangbin, Nosaj Thing, Mount Kimbie and Bon Iver, featuring new and unreleased music as part of the immersive audiovisual spaces. Climate-focused NGOs Kiss The Ground, Ocean Conservancy and Global Forest Generation will also be present at the event, each educating audiences about their respective programs. "It's an exciting time to be working and experimenting in the music space, with technology rapidly changing the way that we create and consume art," the Undercurrent cofounders said. "We're thrilled to be offering music fans new ways to experience work by the artists they love and we hope they leave feeling inspired to take action around the climate crisis in the process." Undercurrent will open on September 9th. Watch a trailer for the event.
