  • A new Jim O'Rourke album, Too Compliment, is out now on DDS. Inspired by the label's freeform bent, the album was entirely recorded in his Steamroom studio in Tokyo, and composed using a rare custom-made Hordijk modular system. The 40-minute record arrives pressed on clear vinyl accompanied by a digital download. Too Compliment follows many recent recent in O'Rourke's Steamroom series, to which he's already contributed two records so far in 2021. Modern Love sub-label DDS was founded by English experimental duo Demdike Stare. The imprint has recently put out records from Jon Collin and Demdike Stare themselves, Shinichi Atobe, Madteo, Micachu and more. Preview the album via Boomkat.
