- Out in June, it's described as an "entry level" hi-fi deck.
Technics is releasing a new turntable for home listening.
Unlike the historically important SL line of DJ turntables from which it takes its name, the SL-100C comes without a pitch-fader. It's described by Technics as an "entry level" alternative to the $1199 SL-1500C, which was targeted at the hi-fi market.
Unlike its predecessor, the direct drive SL-100C doesn't come with an in-built phono stage and is equipped with an Audio-Technica VM95C cartridge. It'll be available in June for £799.
Technics released the DJ-ready SL-1200 MK7 in 2019, which sells for €1000.
