  • Downtown Los Angeles has a new dance music record shop, Chapter One. The warehouse record shop is a venture from the promoters behind Midnight Lovers and Dialogue, and focuses on rare dance music vinyl. LA DJs and collectors like SONNS, TK and Daddy Differently are selling records on consignment, with local labels like Stones Throw, Visionquest and Let's Play House also stocking the shelves. The shop is currently open by appointment only. You can schedule an appointment via the official site.
Dialogue—one of the key LA parties repping the stripped-down house sound—has also launched a vinyl-only label, Dialogue Records. The first release, an EP from Romanian minimal mainstay Ada Kaleh called Solace In Repetition, is out now. Listen to clips from Dialogue 001.
