  • Fatima Al Qadiri has a new album coming on Hyperdub. The ten-track Medieval Femme is inspired by the classical poetry of Arab women such as Al-Khansa', and recontextualises Middle Ages instrumentation like lute, pipes and organ in a modern production setting. It's due on digital and CD on May 14th, with vinyl arriving July 23rd. Medieval Femme is Al Qadiri's first solo LP since 2016's Brute. In the meantime, she soundtracked the film Atlantics and released the Shaneera EP. Listen to "Malaak."
