Scotch Rolex, AKA DJ Scotch Egg, is releasing an album on Nyege Nyege Tapes sub-label, Hakuna Kulala.
The Scotch Rolex project was born from an artist residency the Japanese artist undertook at the Nyege Nyege Villa in 2019, where he met the family of artists who feature on Tewari. The album, which is named after a popular Ugandan street food, includes collaborations with Duma's Lord Spikeheart, MC Yallah, Swordman Kitala, Chrisman and Don Zilla. It's out April 30th.
DJ Scotch Egg has previously worked with Swordman Kitala, using vocals they recorded together at Nyege Nyege Villa on an album for Shanghai label SVBKVLT.
