  • New Orleans-based queer DJ collective Trax Only has launched a new label with a three-volume compilation series, Soft Touch Express. The collective, run by DJs Father Figure, Kathi Kniess and Bouffant Bouffant, showcases artists from the US south for its first compilation, including Ephemera, DJ NSA, Marceaux Marceax, Ruth Mascelli, and Father Figure and Bouffant Bouffant themselves. The three, seven-track EPs also features material from Ariel Zetina, Jasmine Infiniti, Olive T, Kim Anh, Sfireman, to name a few. "This project is an attempt to amplify the voices of those in our community—a moment to analyze why we do what we do, what we love about it, and how to grow it beyond ourselves," the collective says. Out now, the release will be followed by a Soft Touch Express zine, which will include interviews with contributing artists and regulars from the global queer scene.
