  • Take a look at Music, Makers & Machines, a new virtual exhibition celebrating the legacy and history of electronic music. The vast project, which goes live today, March 10th, and will remain online permanently, is a collaboration between Google Arts & Culture, YouTube and more than 50 cultural partners from around the world, spanning festivals, archives, venues, pioneers, museums, labels, experts and educational bodies. Using photos, videos, 360-degree tours, augmented reality features, 3D scans, exhibitions, written articles and plenty more besides, Music, Makers & Machines presents a comprehensive overview of electronic music, from iconic clubs, eras and sounds to the pioneering role played by Black, Latino and queer communities. Exhibition highlights include "A Brief History Of Early Dubstep" led by photographer Georgina Cook, "phatmedia: Iconic Flyer Collection" featuring around 10,000 digitised flyers and "Blacktronika," a look at Black innovators in electronic music curated and soundtracked by King Britt. Among the partners are Amsterdam Dance Event, XL Recordings, Black Cultural Archives, Sydney Opera House, Chicago History Museum, African Artists' Foundation, Groove Magazine and Philharmonie de Paris.
