  • Tokyo label Diskotopia is celebrating its tenth year with a new LP, Distance Vision. The new project comes from label co-founder BD1982, AKA Brian Durr, and spans ten tracks that touch on ambient, shoegaze, dub, techno and industrial. Out digitally and on CD on February 12th, it features Durr's vocals and live string instruments such as the kantele and psaltery. Inspired by the 1971 book, The Occult: A History, the LP marks Durr's first full-length work since 2018's Decades Tempest. Diskotopia was initially formed in 2005 as a DJ and events collective. In 2010, it morphed into a record label under Durr, Matt Lyne AKA A Taut Line and resident Am Rhein. Listen to "Made Of Light."
