Focusrite's new platform for music makers, The Collective, has launched with the FAST range of plug-ins.
Specifically designed for speed and ease-of-use, the three plug-ins all use AI to "keep you in the creative flow and get polished results easily."
The FAST Equaliser, Compressor and Reveal plug-ins all analyse your audio before creating suggested settings. Profile options inform the plug-ins what sound source they're dealing with, while Flavour buttons provide simple toggling between characters such as warm, bright, heavy or precise. Each plug-in offers a FAST View for broad-stroke changes and a Detailed View for making finer adjustments.
While the Equaliser and Compressor offer spectral and dynamics processing respectively, the Reveal plug-in is a multi-band compressor that helps balance a pair of sounds in your mix. Distinguishing between foreground and background sounds, it helps provide clarity by shaping frequencies to avoid clashes in the spectrum.
All plug-ins are offered on a pay-as-you-go model of £5.99/€4.99/$5.99 for 15 months. They are currently only available in the UK, US and EU. Try out and learn more about the range on The Collective website.
