Jimmy Edgar has a new solo album on the way.
CHEETAH BEND, which lands February 26th through Innovative Leisure Records, is the Detroit-born artist's first solo LP since 2012's Majenta. Spanning 14 tracks, it leans heavy on collaborations, with cameos from SOPHIE, Hudson Mohawke, Danny Brown, Rochelle Jordan, Millie Go Lightly and more.
"The value I bring is hybridization," says Edgar. "I think about different universes of sound coming together to create an entirely new domain of knowing."
In the years between solo projects, Edgar made a J-E-T-S album with Machinedrum and produced for DAWN and Vince Staples.
